Stud Exception Request

ANY EXCEPTION must be presented to the TSSR BOD for review PRIOR to time of the breeding.

You then must submit a formal request to the TSSR with the details as to why an exception needs to be made and what your breeding plans for this stud are during the exception period. All testing and registration requirements will need to be on file with the TSSR prior to the submission of the exception request.

IF the exception is granted, Restricted Registration papers will be issued and the following items will need to be completed and on file or the breeding exception will be revoked.

  • Article II. Litter Registrations. Section 2.01 Litter Registration Regulations.
    • Item 1. Either the sire or the dam (or both) must be registered with TSSR permanent Adult Breeding Certificates of Registration for a Litter Application to be accepted.

    • Item 8. Any exceptions to these regulations must be reviewed and agreed upon by a majority vote of TSSR Board of Directors members prior to the time of breeding.
  • Article III. Certificates of Registration. Section 3.03 Permanent Adult Breeding Certificate.
    • Item 3. Restricted Breeding Certificates of Registration require all of the above information on file and are issued for the following:  Males approved for breeding between the age of 12 mos-24 mos (OTX or Shiloh) or any upgraded breeding dog designated by the breeder to be “restricted”.
  • Article III. Certificates of Registration. Section 3.03 Permanent Adult Breeding Certificate.
    • Item 4. Exception: A male Shiloh Shepherd completing all required health testing (hip & heart certification) that has preliminary hip certification of OFA Good or better or PennHIP numbers no greater than 0.50 may request approval of the Board of Directors to be bred between the age of 1 year and 2 years.  All health testing certificates must be on file with the TSSR registrar and final hip certification at 2 years of age must be completed or breeding rights will be revoked.
  • Article IV. Health and Temperament Certificates. Section 5.02 Hip Certificates.
    • Item 1. OFA certificates (24-months or older) and or PennHIP Certificates (18-months or older)
