2025 Fee Update
After more than 10 years, the TSSR is modifying its fee structure in order to streamline the registration process.

  • Litter Registrations will now include Non-Breeding/Pet and Temporary Registration Certificates
  • Registered names of puppies are not required at the litter registration phase; Breeder’s kennel name and puppy’s call name will be used until the owner applies for a name change (at no charge)
  • Kennel registrations of experienced breeders will be at no charge
  • A nominal fee will now be required for registration transfers into the registry

Litter Registration
TSSR qualifying litters; breeder of record will receive copies of papers sent to their buyers; must comply with TSSR requirements; includes the following:

  • Registration Certificate, Temporary ($3.50 / each)
    for dogs sold as upgradeable or breedable; issued at time of Litter Registration; includes one-time change for initial registered name change
  • Registration Certificate, Permanent Adult Non-Breeding (Pet) ($3.50 / each)
    for dogs sold as non-breeding/pets; issued at time of Litter Registration; includes one-time change for initial registered name change
  • Names, initial update, all registration types (no charge)
    at time of litter registration if registration name unknown, the initial registration names of all puppies will be their call name prefaced with the kennel name of breeder; any changes to this name must occur within 90 days of the receipt of their certificate

for dogs 24+ months of age; must comply with TSSR requirements		 $20.00
Registration Downgrade Certificate (Breeding to Pet)

Registration Duplicate Certificate
for owner(s) of record and/or breeder(s) of record only		 N/C
Registration Transfer, Temporary (Initial)
for transferring any dog under 24 months of age to the TSSR from another registry; must comply with TSSR requirements		 $10.00
Registration Transfer, Adult Breeding
for transferring any dog over 24 months of age to the TSSR from another registry; must comply with TSSR requirements		 $15.00
Registration Update Certificate
title changes, health data, etc.; one change per year allowed at no charge; if more than 1x within 12 month period $5.00; for owner(s) of record and/or breeder(s) of record to change titles, etc.		 $5.00
Registration Upgrade Certificate (Pet to Breeding)
upgrading from adult non-breeding to adult breeding papers; all applications must be approved by breeder and comply with TSSR requirements		 $20.00
Ownership Update, (contract fulfillment)
for dogs whose ownership changes due to fulfillment of breeder’s agreement, co-ownership, sale, etc.		 N/C
Ownership Transfer, due to Legal Title Change
for dogs whose ownership passes due to via operation of law (death, divorce, etc.), can also be used for ownership transfer due to rescue/rehome situations		 N/C
  • All fees must be paid in full prior to issuance of papers.
  • Breeders in violation of TSSR Breeder Code of Ethics will not be issued further papers until a new copy of Code of Ethics is signed and on file.
